Raising A Mathematician Competition

Raising A Mathematician Foundation and Holy Angels’ School & Jr. College are happy to announce an Inter-School Competition on Mathematics – Raising A Mathematician Competition, that will be conducted on 14th September 2014 (Sunday) at our school premises. The purpose of this competition is to provide an opportunity for maximum students to participate in different events based on Mathematics thus bringing them closer to Mathematics. In this competition there will be different events where even average students can display their skills. The four events in the competition are:

1. MATHS RECKONING, a Test on Numerical Skills

2. PUZZLE WRANGLING, a group activity of solving Puzzles

3. EXHIBITS, exhibiting any mathematical model/chart/presentation of their choice made by the student at home

4. MATHS QUIZ

The target participants are students between 6th – 10th standards.The competition is held for 2 age groups:

Junior Group: 6th& 7th Standard

Senior Group: 8th – 10th Standard

Apart from the prizes for winners, there will be an award for the school that bags the maximum number of prizes. There will also be a ‘Best Motivating Teacher Award’ for the teacher motivating the maximum number of students to register for the competition. There will be seminars for teachers and parents on Mathematics. There is no registration fee for the seminar but prior registration is compulsory.

We would request your esteemed institution to encourage your students to participate for the competition.

Registration closes at the first 2000 forms or 25th August, whichever is earlier.
